What is a Coravin Pure™ Capsule?

Coravin Pure™ Capsules power all Coravin Wine Preservation Systems, by pressurizing an unopened bottle of wine with Argon gas to pour a sip, a glass, or more. But not all Argon gas is born equal. Only Coravin Pure™ Capsules utilize our proprietary Four Point Purity Process. Each Capsule pours about 15, 5 ounce glasses of wine with Coravin Timeless Systems and 20, 5 ounce glasses of wine with Pivot Systems.

How much wine can I pour with each Coravin Capsule?

Each Coravin Pure™ Capsule will allow you to pour approximately 15, 5 ounce glasses of wine (equivalent to 75 ounces) with Coravin Timeless Systems and 20, 5-ounce glasses of wine (equivalent to 100 ounces) with Pivot Systems. Capsule longevity will vary depending on how you use the Coravin Systems and how often and how much you pressurize each bottle.

Do Coravin Pure™ Capsules work with all Coravin Systems?

Yes, all Coravin Systems use the same Coravin Pure™ Capsules.

Can I use non-Coravin Capsules with my Coravin System?

No. It is important to only use official Coravin Capsules with your Coravin System. Coravin Capsules are specially designed to work with the Coravin System to ensure safe operation and optimal preservation of your wine.

WARNING: Gas Capsules are under high pressure. The Coravin System is designed to work ONLY with genuine Coravin Capsules. Use of non-Coravin capsules, re-use of any part of the Capsule, or connection to sources of gas other than Coravin Capsules is dangerous and may cause injury to users or others nearby. Use of large capacity gas sources with the Coravin System can result in gas leaks which could cause serious injury or death. Large capacity gas sources are NEITHER tested NOR approved by Coravin. The use of alternative gas sources will void the System warranty and remove all responsibility of Coravin from any issues or injury that may arise. How do I store my Coravin Pure™ Capsules?

Coravin Pure™ Capsules are pressurized and should be stored between -22° and 149°F (-30° to +65°C). Coravin Pure™ Capsules contain gas under pressure, and may explode if heated. Store in a well-ventilated place, and out of direct sunlight.

How do I dispose of my Coravin Pure™ Capsules?

Coravin Pure™ Capsules are made of recyclable materials. EMPTY Capsules can be recycled according to local regulations. DO NOT dispose of unused Capsules.

Can I travel with my Coravin System?

All Coravin Wine Systems are permitted during air travel without Coravin Pure™ Capsules. However the Coravin Pure™ Capsules are prohibited due to TSA restrictions and will be confiscated if traveling through an airport in the US. Restrictions vary by country.
